THERE was a new course record in the third "Maisie" annual charity five-mile fun run and walk in Clacton.
David Wright, of Great Bentley Running Club, was the winner with a new course best of 29 minutes and and 32 seconds.
The first lady was Karen Skene, also from Great Bentley Running Club, and the first junior, with a new junior course record, was Cai Telford, with a super time of 37m.
The event raised £580 for children's charity Together For Short Lives and started from the promenade at Vista Road.
