FC CLACTON manager David Coyle is urging supporters to turn out in force and pump up the volume during the final weeks of the season.

The Seasiders kept their survival hopes alive with a crucial 3-2 win against Mildenhall, on Saturday.

It was watched by a crowd of 112 – the second-highest of the weekend across both divisions of the Thurlow Nunn League.

And with four of the club’s last seven matches also at the Rush Green Bowl, Coyle is hoping for even more support in the coming weeks – starting with Saturday’s premier division showdown against Fakenham (kick-off 3pm).

“I think the locals enjoyed last weekend and we need those people here to help us, because it does make a difference,” said Coyle (pictured).

“I saw people at the game that I’ve never seen before and that’s what we want – to encourage more and more people through the turnstile.

“I know from my first spell here that when the team is doing well we get an extra 20, 30 or 40 people.

“Even when there’s an extra 20, it feels like another 200.”
