THERE was no doubting the result of the day in the Thurlow Nunn League.

WIVENHOE TOWN continued their fantastic start to the new premier division season with a thumping 4-0 victory at Walsham-le-Willows.

Ben Parkin’s purple patch continued as he netted twice, in addition to goals from Tim Dennis and Hasen Ayten.

STANWAY ROVERS also pocketed another three points, winning 2-1 at home to Kirkley & Pakefield.

Ray Turner and Pip Boyland scored their goals.

FC CLACTON followed up last week's big win at Haverhill Rovers with a 5-1 demolition of Diss, at the Rush Green Bowl.

Aaron Condon scored a hat-trick, in additions to goals from Charlie Thompson and Terry Rymer.

With other teams playing in the FA Cup, Gorleston took the opportunity to slip into second place in the premier division table thanks to a 4-1 success at home to BRANTHAM ATHLETIC.

Shaun Webb was again on target for Paul Abrahams’ side.

In division one, HALSTEAD TOWN ran out 2-0 winners at home to Needham Market Reserves.

Dave Morgan and Ellis Carter scored the Humbugs’ goals.

BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES slumped to a 5-0 defeat at home to their counterparts from King’s Lynn Town.
