A WOMAN was trapped in her vehicle for almost an hour after a two-car smash at St Osyth.
Firefighters from Clacton and Weeley were called to the scene in Flag Hill just after 2pm today.
A brigade spokesman said: "A female casualty was trapped in her vehicle, which had turned onto its side.
"Crews worked with paramedics to release the casualty."
The victim was freed just before 3pm.
She was left in the care of parademics and the air ambulance. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
