PRESIDENT Sheila Banks opened the meeting and welcomed members, followed by various reports.
As the advertised speaker did not arrive, it was a homespun evening. Jose Powell told of a competition win, of a short break, which was full of incident, and members looked at the excellent recycling efforts of the craft group who have created some superb decorations to be used in the forthcoming WI Christmas tree event at Hyde Hall.
A craft evening will be held on November 16, at 7.30pm, in the WI Hall all welcome. Also the ladies from the choir will be singing carols at Parkers Garden Centre on December 17. The next meeting is the annual meeting, followed by a mock auction on November 10, at 7.30pm.
