Conservatives have a majority of 3 seats, with a total of 33 councillors sitting on Tendring Council.

Labour is the next biggest party with 9, followed closely by Tendring First with 8.

There are 5 independant candidates and 3 Holland Residents' Association councillors.

The Liberal Democrats have 2 councillors.

This is the first time the Conservatives have held a majority in Tendring Council since 1987.

I will be off shortly, just a couple of parish council elections and interviews, then back to the office to write everything up!

You can read the full results for the district council in Monday's Daily Gazette, Thursday's Clacton Gazette and Friday's Harwich Standard.
