Have you voted yet? If not then you have just under three-and-a-half hours in which to do so.

Once 10pm arrives all the ballot boxes will be sealed up and taken to be verified by council officials tonight, ready for the count tomorrow morning.

All campaigning will cease and the candidates will probably collapse exhausted after pounding the streets for the past month.

Whether they get much sleep though is another matter, as I suspect some of them will be quite nervous.

With the big day approaching there has been much talk in the office about what we expect the result to be.

People keep asking me for my 'informed' opinion - and I have to say I genuinely wouldn't like to call it.

At least it's not long now until we find out!

As a final reminder, the count begins at 9.30am tomorrow, with the first result expected at around 10.30am.

The district, town and parish council vote is supposed to be wrapped up by about 3pm, so I'll predict a flurry of results around noon, and that could be the critical time where we see a leading party emerge.

But to be on the safe side, make sure you keep a watchful eye on this blog, and the results page (click here) from 9.30am!
