Welcome to the live blog for the 2011 local elections.
I will be at the count on Friday to record the votes as they are announced for each seat, and the results will appear our on result page (see the grey panel above).
There will also be insight and analysis as the shape of Tendring Council becomes clearer during the day.
If you're out and about, unable to check the website, we will also be tweeting brief updates via @ClactonGazette on Twitter.
The count begins at 9.30am with the first result expected at about 10.30am.
