Darby and Joan Club
MEMBERS at the first meeting of 2011, were told that due to ill health, Muriel Southgate, is unable to run the Darby and Joan club at the moment. Dorothy Hook has kindly stepped in to be president.
The afternoon ended with tea, mince pies and Christmas cake. New members are always welcome. Members meet on Mondays at 2.15pm, at Thorpe Sports and Social Club, Station Road. We look forward to seeing you.

NEW president Sheila Banks chaired the January meeting and after the usual business, introduced Keith Banks who gave a very amusing talk about the Funside of the Flying Squad. The next meeting is on February 10 at 7.30pm, when the speaker will be Paul Andrae, talking on “Flatford and Constable country”. New members are always welcome.
