Tea, Talk and Talent THE September meeting was held at Hipkins cafe on the Naze. We were treated to meringue nests filled with strawberries and raspberries made by Debbie.

The owner Robert Hipkin wasn’t there due to recovering from an operation, but we sent him a bottle of wine with our best wishes.

In October we are back to listen to Roz Hall and her talk; ‘Five Hats and a Washing Line’.

We welcome new members, we meet on the second Friday of the month at 10.30am.

Gunfleet W.I.

AT the recent monthly meeting, members enjoyed listening to Sister Karen Moss who works at Colchester General, looking after premature babies.

During August we played host to two visiting W.I. groups, proving lunch and tea. This was a first for our group and Gwen was congratulated on the organisation.

Brenda reported that she had received a thank you letter for her knitted baby hats from the Paul O’Grady show and members were told that we are going to making up shoe boxes again for our troops abroad.

Forthcoming events include a lunch party on November 18 and a carol concert on December 12.
