THE annual flower and vegetable show, held at Thorpe Baptist Church, was a great success despite the poor weather.
Winners were: Mick Allen- best exhibit (fuchsia) and best gladioli. Darren Rumberlow - best sweet peas and best single rose. Frances Glazebrook - best dahlia. Persephone Alexander won the children’s competition and seven-year-old Harry Johnson won ‘best individual exhibit’ with his lazer lizard.
Judging was carried out by Roy Brabbins and Mrs Ferrari and Daphne Hall gave out the prizes.
