LITTLE Hayden Haynes’ family are used to playing generation games after packing six of them into a single lifetime.

When he was born last Thursday, he was blissfully unaware that he’d just made Queenie Turner a great-greatgreat grandmother at the age of 88.

The tot’s grandmother, Dionne Mitchell, is just 33, while great-gran Caron Durant is 51 and great-great grandma Shirley Beard is barely 70.

If the family carry on at the current rate, they will be heading for the record books.

Caron, of Clacton, said: “The world record is seven generations in the US, where the great-great-great-great grandmother was 109.

“There aren’t many families with six, because I checked.”

Women in the family have a habit of becoming mums in their teens.

Caron said: “My grandmother had her daughter at 18 and my mother had me at 18.

“I had my daughter at 17 and my daughter had her daughter, Kelsey, at 18.

“Now Kelsey has just had my great-grandson at 17.

“The women in our family are always very mature for their age. I was 17 and married and my mum was 18 and married.”

Kelsey and partner Mirrick are staying with mum Dionne in Kirby Cross until Hayden is a few months old.

It has almost become a family tradition.

Caron said: “We all stayed with our mums for a little while after having our babies.

“I don’t care how modern people are – 17 is very young to have a baby.

“We know what it is like and it is nice to have the support of your family around you for the first couple of months.”

“None of us have ever regretted it. We have a very close, loving family. I’m 51 and I’ve got ten grandchildren.

“And Hayden is lovely – he’s absolutely perfect.”
