A PODCAST has been set up by two pals to showcase good news across Tendring.
Ollie Baines, 21, of Frinton, and Joe Webster, 23, of Kirby, have launched the Local Presence podcast – an ondemand audio show.
They record one a week and the project is designed to provide comment and debate on local news stories, as well as highlighting positive events.
Its introduction describes the show as: “The podcast bringing the smiles back to Tendring.”
Co-creator Ollie said: “We wanted to produce something to share all of the good things going on in our area.
“You hear plenty of bad news around, but we just wanted to do something to showcase the positives in the community.”
The second weekly podcast was released on Monday.
It includes an interview with Lucy Masters to highlight the work of the Jeremiah Project, a youth work organisation based in Walton. Ollie and Joe also talk to a member of the community each week, as well as throwing in Tendring-based trivia and anecdotes.
Ollie added: “We’re really excited to have made a start and now we want it to grow and for people to come to us and get involved.”
