A MAN has died after crashing his car in Colchester.
The man, aged in his 70s, was driving along Lexden Road when he crashed his black Ford Focus at about 6.15am this morning.
No other vehicles were involved.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The road was closed, while specialist officers examined the scene, until about 9am.
His family have been informed.
Any witnesses or anyone with information about events leading to the incident should contact the investigating officer PC Natacha Hasler at the serious collision investigation unit on 101.
