BRITAIN’s biggest burlesque extravaganza arrives in Clacton tomorrow.

An Evening of Burlesque is now in its fourth year on tour and has been flushed with success, attracting eyepopping audience figures everywhere it stops.

More than a quarter of a million people have seen the show, which reveals the cream of the West End’s thriving burlesque scene to the world.

The sashaying Royal Academy-trained beauties slip into gloriously exotic costumes in the slick, witty spectacular.

The cheeky production has revealed the art of burlesque to theatregoers in Europe’s swishest cities including Milan, Zurich, Verona and St Petersburg – and is now heading to the West Cliff Theatre.

Producer Michael Taylor has been amazed by the public’s reaction to the show, which features curvy corsets, killer heels and saucy stockings.

He said: “It is all tease and no sleaze. The show combines musical and theatrical parody, cutting-edge variety, magic, comedy and dance with the art of striptease.”

Audience members can even dress up themselves for the chance to win a special prize.

Due to its risqué nature, the show – at 8pm – is only suitable for adults. Tickets are £21 on 01255 433344.
