A PENSIONER was treated for hypothermia after he managed to swim ashore at Frinton yesterday.
Walton's lifeboat was called just after 3pm after Thames Coastguard received reports of a man clinging to a small fishing boat.
The 77-year-old victim managed to swim to the beach but was suffering from hypothermia.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The RNLI recovered the man's boat.
